Patient aged 45, complaines on pain in the gums, increasing their bleeding, the emergence mobility of individual Reported symptoms appeared 3-4 days ago. An objective examination revealed a clear brightly flushed, acutely swollen gums, painful at palpation. The roots of exposed, periodontal pocket depth of 4-6 mm with purulent exudate and sub- and teeth, bad breath. teeth overgingival calculus diagnosed. 17.16, 25 26, 27, 36, 32, 31, 41, 42 teeth are mobile of II-III stage. Panoramic x-rays - diffusive osteoporosis, interdental partitions to ½ of their height. Write the correct diagnosis and antimicrobial , anti-inflammatory therapy.

All the above suggested that the patient is suffering from chronic periodontitis with acute infection gums.
Diagnosis: Chronic periodontitis with acute infection on the gingiva(gingivitis).
Treatment:
Antimicrobial therapy:
Oral bacteria are susceptible to many antibiotics, a combination of drugs may be necessary to eliminate all causative pathogens from some periodontal pockets. They include,
1,Tetracycline- 250 mg, 4 times daily.
2.Doxycycline-100mg two times on the first day followed with 100mg once daily for 21 days.
3.Metronidazole 400 mg tid for 7 days.
4. Amoxycillin 500 mg tid for 5-7 days alone or in combination with Metronidazole.
5 Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid,625 mg alone or combination with metronidazole.
6.Ciprofloxacin.500mg bid for 5-7 days.
7.Tinidazole in combination with ciprofloxacin.
Anti-inflammatory Therapy.
NSAIDs are useful in reducing pain on the gums
Common anti-inflammatory include Ibuprofen, Diclofenac sodium, Aceclofenac, Indomethacin.
