A scientific research is important in any field of psychology as the results from this research are valid and can be easily generalized to a greater population. A scientific research provides an appropriate solution a community problem.
Goodman et. al. (2018) collaborated to develop an online toolkit for emerging researchers interested in community-based participatory research (CBPR). This report frames the need for CBPR in DV research using short vignettes that come from our own research experience; introduces Power Through Partnerships: A CBPR Toolkit for Domestic Violence Researchers; and presents recommendations for developing, promoting, and disseminating future CBPR research.
The methodology used by these researchers to divide the group into subgroups to develop community partnerships.
