Research is the systematic investigation ,experimentation, testing, exploration, analysis, fact finding, examination, scrutiny or probing.

Dissemination means act of spreading out something widely especially information.

Dissemination of Resarch means the results of the research that has been obtained after carring out in the community area has to be communicated to the community people and participants among whom the study has been conducted.

Importance of Disseminating Research back to the Community : Disseminating Research findings is a part of the research process. The aims of dissemination are: awareness, understanding and action typically, research is not fully complete until the findings have been made widely available.Community Based Research can make important contributions toward understanding how local environments impact the health status of a population.Research findings help to follow evidence based practice among people to develope healthy life style. It helps in creating awareness, in inculcating healthy life styles by doing modifications, to educate community people regarding healthy practices, helps not to be ignorant of health services that are provided in primary health care centres and to update the people regarding the current health services and practices.Efforts has to be taken to engage people in understanding science and disseminating findings to reach the research participants and should be promoted further as good research practice. At times communicating findings in aspects to the study conducted among the study participiants are often overlooked or receives low prioritization by research investigators, but its critically important to Disseminate among study participants as a part of good research and for the benefits of Community people. For Example: When a researcher has conducted a research in the community area where there are more lung cancer patients. He does a research and finds the root cause is smoking. It is important to educate the study participants as well as the commuity people area about the cause and illeffects of smoking. This would create life style modifications, knowlege regarding illeffects of smoking and brings primary prevention into action. And hence it is important to disseminate research back to the community whwere its coducted.
