Ethos refers to the fundamental or the core values of an individual or community that provides it distinct and observable ethical character.

For e.g. Ethos of Indian tradition and culture is unity in diversity.

In communication, it is an ethical appeal made to audience in order to persuade them to believe in the credibility of the writer/speaker.


2-what is pathos?

Pathos is an emotional appeal made to convince audience by targeting their emotional cognition in order to invoke sympathy or sadness. Author use this mode to invoke emotions in audience in context to the subject by using emotional tone or emotion evoking examples.

3-what is logos?

Logos is a logical appeal used by author to convince audience by using logical reasoning. E.g. of logos is use of facts, data, proven results or statistics.

4-what is kairos?

It is also a rhetorical concept that gains support and legitimacy as it is used at right time and context i.e. in a favorable setting.
