1. Explaining your answer with examples, compare the programmed decisions and the unprogrammed decisions with defining the curricula (model) that decision makers depend on in each type, whether at the individual level and the organization?
2. Explain the main factors on which decision makers depend in making organizational decisions in emergency situations?
1) A.Programmed decisions
Programmed decisions are related to structured problems. These decisions were made in past.These are purely based on company policies and guidelines.This decision is helpful to solve day-to-day problems which are repetitive in nature.These decisions are constant for a long period of time.
Eg: Decisions related to handling with the issues related to customers, machines,employees, etc...
B.Unprogrammed decisions
Unprogrammed decisions are related to unstructured problems. These decisions are make only after the problem arises .This decision is helpful to solve unique problems which are non- repetitive in nature.Seperate anaysis ad evaluation is required or each problem.
Eg: Decisions related to new market entry, New technology adoption,etc..
2) Making a decision is very much important in an organiation especially in emergency situations. Following are the factors inluencing this type of decisions
a) Cost: Cost is an important factor while making a decision. How much cost will be incurred for the implimentation.
b)Availability of Fund: After determining the cost. We have to analyse if the fund is availabe or not.
c)Time Constraints: analyse whether sufficient time is available to impliment the decision.
