A project or initiative outcome can influence a group of people or organization especially change. Over time every organization has to go through some type of change. The change can be minor or major. Lots of times when change occurs its mandatory for an organization to change things like the policies and procedures. Unexpected change can be stressful for an organization. Which is why it’s important during the time of change to avoid any negative impact. It’s important to stay positive and for the organization to have effective change management. It's very important to have change management to help with adjusting to this process, updating to the newest equipment, training, and to be ready for minor or major changes in the organization. Having a change management team helps to work with employee activities and helps employees feel more confident about change. Challenges regarding change can be disregarded through proper communication and involvement.
Last year the hospital I worked for decided to change the whole hospitals computer system to a program called Epic. Epic is a paperless system that allows all documentation to be done in the system, as well as other things. This new system was a big change for a lot of people especially the elders of the organization. During this process I heard a lot of negative and some positive feedback from employees. But we had effective management along the way of this organizational change. We were given effective training classes, and we had a superuser for each department in case anyone had any issues or questions. Effective change management definitely improved the organization during this time.
