No , because it is compulsory when a strategy is being made and which is soon to be implemented because , every firm when entering into business or while making a new strategy should know the strength , weakness , opputunities and threats . where the strenght and weakness are the internal part and the external parts are opputunities and threats . These makes the planner understand the oppurtunities and vulnerability of the business. Also it ables the compnay to have an advantage over its competitors , and it helps in achieving organisational goals and objectives. it also enables the company to be future proof and without SWOT analysis the outcome of the company in the future cannot be seen. Thatswhy , it is needed when a strategic plan is being made.
