A rigid tank contains a saturated liquid-vapour mixture of water in an equilibrium state. The volume of the tank is 110 m3 and the temperature of the water in the tank is 115°C. In the tank, 70% of the mass is liquid and 30% of the mass is vapour. Please calculate the total mass of water in the tank.
Steps:
i. Find the dryness fraction of the mixture.
ii. Find the specific volume of the mixture.
iii. Divide the volume of the tank by the specific volume of the mixture, to get the total mass of the water in the tank.
