Explanation:

Once I was handed a task out of my field, and I was totally not updated about and not aware how to handle that duty. Though I had refused to do that since it was not my cup of tea but to the lack of staff and had to fulfill those duties. Somehow I managed to complete task but to my surprise when my senior assessed that task he told me many negative things about mistakes I have done and it was the most negative review about any task I have received.

This happened because lack of some sort of skills I did not had about that particular task.

In order to don’t repeat that kind of blunder, I have decided to update every needed skill to stay updated.

Negative impact:

• This particular negative review done little bit damage morale and confidence to take up unknown task which are out of my capability.
• Had the negative feeling that I was not updated skill wise professionally and could land in awkward situation when someone will ask for favor in future.

Positive Impact:

• Determined to update myself on every front so that there will no more this kind of negative experience in future.
• Motivated me enough to stay better skilled person.
