Frito lay this one is best companies when potato chips. They have been in this business since a very long time and main reasons why I would prefer frito-lay over other chips brand is because of that consistent quality and understanding the need of the customers and issuing the taste as well as syllabus according to the customer's demand. Frito-lay has been very successful in keeping its quality constant.

For improving the product quality of frito lay implementing changes in the supply chain from the very beginning are required. Frito lay should only use low oil absorbing potatoes for its chips. This would enable frito-lay to successfully reduce the overall cost in manufacturing the chips as well as it would also encourage farmers to grow specific crop for getting better benefits which would also be more sustainable then the previous operational structure.
Improving the quality would require proper sorting of potatoes before they go into the system. Sorting process food rectify the problem of improper size and improve the machine efficiency by using proper size of the potato.
For improving the salt concentration, computer programs sprinkler sIDBI set according to the salt content in potatoes as well as by consistently observing the oil and fat levels in the chips, effectiveness of quality increment can be done.
Using high quality cutting tools and setting up an inspection program for the cutting tools at a periodic time would be appropriate as it would mitigate the issue of inefficient cutting blades which would improve the Slice thickness and maintain it at a particular
