The human beings body is organized at different levels, starting from cell and ends to entire organism. The cells are formed to tissues, tissues formed to organs, organs organized to organ systems( muscular and skeletal systems).
The six level of organisation of the body are ,
The eleven major organ systems in the human body are,
Skeletal
The skeletal system consists of bones, joints and teeth. The bones of the skeletal system are connected by tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. The functions of the skeletal system include supporting the body and providing shape to the body.
Integumentary
The organs of the integumentary system include the skin, hair,
and nails.
Muscular system
The muscular
system consists of three different types of muscles.
They are skeletal muscles, smooth muscles and cardiac muscles. The
skeletal muscle are attached to bones by tendons and allow for
voluntary movements of the body. The smooth muscle control the
involuntary movements of internal organs. Cardiac muscle tissues
control the involuntary beating of the heart
Nervous system
The nervous system includes the brain and spinal cord.
The nervous system controls both voluntary and
involuntary responses of the human organism. And also have the
capability to detect and processes sensory information.
Endocrine system
The endocrine system is made up of
glands that secrete hormones into the blood, which then carries
hormones throughout the body.
Cardiovascular system
The cardiovascular systemincludes the heart, blood and three types of blood vessels (arteries, veins, and capillaries). The heart pumps blood, which travels through the blood vessels and their main function is the transport of oxygen with the blood through out the body.
Lymphatic system
The lymphatic system the immune
system which consists of a network of lymph vessels and ducts that
collect excess fluid from extracellular spaces in tissues and
transport the fluid to the bloodstream.
Digestive system
The digestive system consists of several main organs which includes the mouth, esophagus, stomach, and small and large intestines . Food moves through gastro intestinal tract, and it is digested. Its nutrients are then absorbed, and its waste products are excreted.
Urinary system
The urinary system is part of the
excretory system, which removes wastes from the body. The urinary
system includes the pair of kidneys, which filter excess water and
a waste product (called urea) from the blood and form urine.
Reproductive systems
The reproductive system is the only body system that differs between males and females. Both male and female reproductive systems produce specific sex hormones (testosterone in males, estrogen in females) and gametes (sperm in males, eggs in females).
