1) Name the tissues layers and tissues types that are found in the mucosal layer of the trachea
2) Name types of tissues that are found in the submucosal layer of the trachea.
3) name types of tissues that are found in the fibrocartilaginous layer of the trachea.
4) discuss the role of goblet cells and cilia in filtering inhaled air.
1) tissue layers of trachea:
* Mucosa which is innermost layer.
* submucosa which is deep to mucosal layer
* Hyaline cartilage which surrounds the submucosa
* adventitia which is outermost layer of trachea.
Tissue types:
Smooth tissue
Pseudostratified columnar epithelium
Simple columnar epithelium
2) types of tissues found in sub mucosal layer of trachea
* Areolar connective tissue which contains blood vessels.
* Nervous tissue.
3) * The bronchus in the lungs are lined with hair like projections called cilia that move microbes and debris up and out of the airways.
* Scattered through the cilia are goblet cells that secret mucus which helps protect the lining of the bronchus and trap microorganisms.
* Cilia keep the airways clear of mucus and dirt, allowing us to breath easily and without irritation.
* The movements of the cilia push inhaled particles or microorganisms up and out into the nose and throat, which can either get swallowed or removed through the mouth.
