Q: What is the purpose of and allergic reaction inflammatory response?
Q: What are the negative consequences?
Q: What is the receptor, afferent pathway, integrating center, efferent pathway, and effectors of the baroreceptor reflex?
Q: What is the significance of a shorter heart contraction duration? (referring to CHF)
Q: What is the role of phospholamban?
Ans.1 when an immmune system respond to a foreign particle as an allergen and produces histamine which causes an allergic response like inflammation, sneezing, coughing the purpose of these response is to remove that allergen out of. the body by coughing and sneezing.
Ans.2 The negative consequences are anaphylactic shock which can cause death and inflammation which can hinders the blood flows which can cause depriving of certain tissue or cell from oxygen lead to the death of that tissue or cell.
Ans.3. When the signal is sent away from central nervous system to your body such as eye blinking is called receptor efferent pathway.
The hypothalamus is integrating centre that signals an effector(muscle or organ) to respond to stimuli. The afferent pathway is signal travels from sense organ to the central nervous system
Ans.5 The phospholamban is the micropeptide protein made up of 52 amino acids encoded by PLN gene integral membrane protein which regulates the calcium pump in cardiac muscles.
