How is electronic training (ET) different from e-learning? How effective is ET in maintaining control over learning process and training content? Provide your rationale.
The main focus of e-training is on assisting and helping the manpower in order to develop their skills which are required to perform a certain task. This can consist of facilitating the information related to the specific activities and processes and daily operations. All these things are performed in an electronic environment in case of e-training with the help of Speeches, text documents, videos, demonstrations, and other materials
E-Learning can be seen as an act of process of acquiring or gaining the know how or knowledge and implementing this acquired knowledge in various manners. As training facilitates the teaching of different protocols to the employees which are related to the certain situations but in case of learning, the employees are provided with the information and knowledge to deal with the general or non-specific situations which can appear suddenly.
There is an added advantage related to ET as it has the control over the content material, presentation methods and the shift or movement of the employees under training in sequentially structured learning phases which are derived on the basis of the feedback received from earlier trainees. It is possible to control the speed of the interaction by managing the interaction between the trainee and the software. This will make sure that a certain consistency is maintained in the entire course material coverage and all the trainees attain expertise in the subject.
