A solution is in dynamic equilibrium. Which of the following is true?
A) it is a homogeneous solution
B) it is an unsaturated solution with undissovled solid
C) it is a supersaturated solution
D) it is a saturated solution with undissovled solid
Option (D) It is a saturated solution with undissolved solid.
Saturation Point: It is that point after no more solution can be dissolved into the solution at a certain temperature.
When one reach the saturation point, the dissolving does not really stop instead the the rate at which the solute goes into the solution equals the rate at which the solute comes to its initial phase(before dissolving state). And this gives the impression that the solute can't be dissolved further.
The amount of solute dissolving balances the amount of solute that is crystallising to its initial self(i.e. Undissolved solid).
So, it is a saturated solution with undissolved solid.
