The fast food industry is the choice of the generation today. The fast food industry work 24/7/365 days wherein the chefs work from open to close, servers work in shift hours and managers or people who oversee the accounts or the counter stay late hours until they bring the accounts to a close for the day. This is a highly overloaded work to meet the growing demand of people for fast food. The employees of the fast food industry spend most of their time working for the restaurant. This extended overload of work and family responsibilities made the employees to lose sleep thus reducing their energy and health. The employees became sick or they became slow which reduced their production rate. Additionally, most of the fast food employees missed the family events such as anniversaries, birthdays, and other important functions. The fast food employee’s bad work-life balance resulted in employee dissatisfaction, high turnover and Ofcourse burnout. It is a proven fact that employees in all the industries need to have a good work-life balance especially the fast food industry. Thus, in order to overcome these challenges facing the workforce of the fast food industry, it is pertinent that the employees maintain a good work-life balance.
