Vital signs means body temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate and respiratory rate.

These all are useful in checking medical problems.

Body temperature vary while fever when temperature of our body increases from normal body temperature i.e. 97.8 degree F.

Pulse rate is the number of times heart beats in 1 minute. Normally it is 60 to 100 per minute but changes while exercise, illness, injury and adult women have more pulse rate than adult male.

Respiration rate is no. of times a person breathes per minute. It is 12-16 normally. It also changes with fever, illness, exercise etc.

Blood pressure is the pressure of blood against artery. It is normally 120/80mm of Hg i.e. measured as systolic and diastolic pressure.

Patient with heart disease shows fluctuation in blood pressure. Low blood pressure and high blood pressure are two conditions but they may arise due to many reasons not only due to heart disease. Anxiety or tension also increases blood pressure for a while
