Left sided heart failure is mostly caused by coronary artery diesese CAD,long term high blood pressure or heart attack. In a person with left side heart failure the heart can't pump enough blood to the body of the person. The advance stage of the left sided heart failure usually result in right sided heart failure.Right sided heart failure: Here, the right chamber lost its ability to pump blood, which means the heart can't be fill with enough blood and the blood backs up in the veins. Causes of right sided heart failure: 1) High blood pressure: when the blood pressure is higher, the harder the heart works to pump it,so over time the heart muscles get thicken and weaken because of the extra work.2) Damage heart valve: valves helps the blood flow in the right direction through the heart.if damage the heart works harder to pump blood.3) coronary artery diesese: here, plague block the arteries causing blood to flow to the heart muscles to slow or even stop working. 4) Arrhythmia: This is the irregular heartbeat of the heart .it may either be too fast or slow.its makes the heart pump an insufficient amount of blood through the body.5) Lungs diseases: Problems in the lungs can cause the right side of heart to enlarge or fail eventually . Causes of left side heart failure: 1) coronary artery diesease 2) heart attack.Clinical manifestation of right sided heart failure: some of the clinical manifestation includes: congestion of the hepatic and gastrointestinal Venus circulation which includes NEUSEA, bloating, anorexia, constipation which may result in bloody stool.Clinical Manifestation in the left side heart failure: chronic coughing, wheezing, fatigue, fluid retention causing swelling , rapid or irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath while lying down.
