Expert Solution

I am a task leader for a 3-person team (myself and two others) that specialize in mobile app development, both Swift for iOS and Android.

My PM has given me a project to develop a mobile app with the goal of activating home appliances in “smart homes”, with a timeline of 6 months to final deliverable.

Using SDLC methodology, and outlined the entire process from start to finish as below

We need to design and develop a mobile app with the goal of activating home appliances in smart homes. The mobile app will have the functionality for activating home appliances for smart homes. The design and development cycle with the help of SDLC methodology will be as below

  • Design Stage: This will be the first step for the mobile application. In this stage the design for the mobile app will be started by the team. Thus the team uses their energy level to build good design for the mobile app.
  • Development stage: This will be the second stage in the SDLC methodology and focus on the development of the mobile app based on the design of the mobile app. This stage will ensure that the mobile app is developed and is suitable for the smart home applications.
  • Testing stage: This is the testing stage for the mobile app, in which the mobile app will be tested for the desired outcome expected from the mobile app for the smart home applications. If the testing stage is passed, then it ensures that the design and development stages are also passed for the mobile app.
  • Launching/infant stage: This is critical stage in which the mobile app product will be launched in the market. This is the stage in which the mobile app will be introduced in the market among their consumers. Consumers will have interaction at this stage.
  • Maturity stage: This is the stage in which the mobile app will be matured in use by the consumers in the market for the smart home appliances. Thus this is the stage in which the mobile app will have highest demand from their consumers.
  • Decline stage: This is stage in which the mobile app will start decline and the sale for the mobile app will start in decreasing trend. Thus this is retarding stage for the mobile app.
  • Terminating stage: This is the stage in which the mobile app will be terminated and will not be used further by the consumers. Thus the terminating age is the final stage for the mobile app for the smart home appliances.
