With the rise of tuition, slow pace of job growth for college graduates, high student loan debts should college tuition be free?

College Tuition and College Fees should definitely be at a subsidised value for the students, It may not always be possible to give these benefits free of cost. And technically speaking nothing is free of cost, someone does have to pay or it, taxpayers for example. However one has to definitely agree that the jobs that college students get does not pay that well and also the pace of growth is slower. Free or subsidised college would be a benefit to the entire nation. Few of the benefits are as below:

1. There would be more students coming to college once they are able to afford it, this would definitely groom more of the talented people which can then contribute to the growth of the entire nation as a whole in future.

2. A Well educated population makes smarter decisions at every level of the society.

3.Students will be able to focus on their studies rather than worry about the pressure of stressful jobs so as to pay for their fees.

4. Graduating with high amounts of student debt reduces the chances of one owning a home, getting married, accumulating wealth, etc

The Government can try towards Getting rid of the tuition fees if it considers the below:

1. Ensuring all the Corporates pay their full share of taxes

2. Increasing taxes for wealthy people.

3. Reducing wasteful expenditures of the government.

4. Raising the taxes on speculative transactions and investments.

Thus summarising this all up colleges should be free or subsidised for the students who genuinely need help and cannot afford paying the fees, It would also be very necessary to monitor that the students perform their best and not take the aid provided for granted. For the ones who can afford fees should be maintained at the same level. By doing this it would not create a pressure on the government and the entire population as a whole. It would also help us to move towards a better, brighter and much happier nation.
