Myoglobin are more in red muscles than white. Hemoglobin transport oxygen to tissue and approx 25% of CO2 as well(from tissues to lungs). Myoglobin act as storage house for O2 , when there is increase in O2 demand (eg- heavy excercises, climbing, etc), it supply to the muscles so that muscles can not go to anaerobic respiration.
