Q8) Tourism management is very organized in my country India, considering a wide range if destinations across the states in the country which can be categorised as - leisure, heritage, spiritual, hill stations, beaches, urban, countryside etc. The country is divided into 30 states and 6 union territories which have their own governments that manage the destinations in their respective locations. Apart from the hospitality provided by the tourism departments of the respective states, there are various private hospitality related businesses which organize tours for the tourists with various customized packages as per the requirement of the tourists. There has been an increase in traffic in the tourism and hospitality websites which bring together all the operations like accommodation, travel, food and activities etc. and provide as packages to customers.

With the betterment of facilities and increased alternatives, there is ample potential for the tourism industry to flourish and bring revenues to the firms.

Q9) Market is a physical or virtual location of a gathering of businesses which sell their products or services to the customers and generate revenues.

Q10) Segment is a logical grouping of the customers by the firms in order to target a market for the marketing communication to sell the products or services.

Segmenting of customers can be done based on demographics, psychographics etc.
