New Zealand Tourism has carefully shortlisted special
interest tourist sectors and I agree with the ones they have
selected.
Here are the reasons for agreeing and supporting the SIT sectors
of New-Zealand:
- New Zealand tourism
has set a clear aim and target that it wants to attract the
high-value visitors to the country & deliver an
incredible experience so that New Zealand is on top of destination
lists.
- The special interest tourist sectors include cycling,
mountain biking, Golf, adventure sports like Skiing and walking
& hiking. All of these sectors have a great appeal and
attraction point for tourists. All these activities are well
planned and promoted and it also ensures that tourist spends more than
average time leading to greater experience.
- Another reason to agree with special interest sectors of New
Zealand is that it has
spent a lot of research and time to package such
experiences. These sectors define the unique experience
points for New Zealand and help to build a marketing approach and
plan towards attracting more tourists.
- Apart from the four activities wine and food also offer
a great attraction for tourists and it has been observed
that nearly 25% of tourist visit the vineyards.
- Another reason for agreeing and support the SIT strategy of New
Zealand is because of positive external response from countries
like Australia which is considering New Zealand as a top business
events/conferences destination. The conference schedule offers a
great variety of sports, positive environment of discussing work
and in parallel enjoying the key activities.
- The country is spending on infrastructure for tourist
development. For example, Many prominent cities like
Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington have now world-class convention
centres making it ideal for business tourists.
