A Simple Scatter Chart may look like this as it basically covers all the required information with an easy to understand digram.
Steps are quite simple:
1. Select the required data (in excel) to be captured in the diagram.
2. Go to Insert and select scatter chart.
3. Now you need to change you chart. So right click the chart and click change chart type.
4. Go to Combo where you can change the axis to make your chart more presentable.
5. When you select combo, Final GPA will be shown as clustered column and Annual Salary as line.
6. Tick Final GPA as secondary axis to show it vertically on the right side of the chart.
7. Also select scatter for Annual Salary. Then click ok.
8. Now as per your requirement you need to chage the range of Final GPA. So, right click on the Final GPA range and click format axis.
9. Now in Axis options you may select bounds ranging from 2 (minimum) to 4 (maximum).
10. In the same way, you may also change the Student ID range according to the requirement as number of IDs are only 25, maximum bounds can be set at 25.
11. Chart will look like one shown above. First Final GPA line comes and then its corresponding annual salary with a dot for a particular ID and similarly for other IDs.
