How does leadership play a role in IT management? How does leadership need to be aligned to the company’s goals for IT management?

Leadership plays very prominent role in IT Management. Because IT Management handles different types of projects,clients and other services in the organisation.

In general Leader in IT Management is a manager who manages the team for the specific client or service. In IT there will be different managers in the lower level to manage their respective work. For all these lower level manager there will be high management which is nothing but project manager etc like that.

Basically manager is must in IT to make their team members do work and to represent the team. A manager must have skills to solve the problems or to handle problems not only work related but also in his own team . So that the work will go smoothly and also team members will do their work efficiently.

At the same time Manager must also need to alligned to the company goals. He must drive his team towards that goals. He must be favourable to his team members as well as to the company also.

Whenever there is any concerns from team members he must talk to the higher management and must support their in their valid reasons. The vice versa has to be happen for the company also he needs to talk to their members.

Like this the manager must handle the project and their teams well and he must drive towards the company goals.
