The whole world is becoming aware of health and nutrition. Now is the scenario that people are ready to do or go to any extent to save their health. Gone are the days when health was given a secondary place, these days people are ready to spend money and do all those that they never used to do in order to get their healthier version in place.

Sugary drinks and Soda are the most easily available stuff in the market which is full of sugar and unhealthy ingredients which takes away the good health from you. Youth of the country are the most affected from these kind of drinks as they are the ones who consume these things very often.

As the people are increasingly taking care of the health and given it due importance. The government too has to take care of its people's health. Necessary actions have to be taken in one or another way so that the citizens are really benefited by it. They should be made feel that the government is also with them in the good health journey which will definitely lead them to attain the best of their health. One such action that the government can take is that by taxing the unhealthy stuff that are making rounds in the market and are easily available to the people, who buy them and consume and ultimately their health is affected by it. Government can start by taking baby steps in this direction. After all the youth of any country are its future, and the health of youth and children is very important for a country to develop and grow because if the people grow then the country too grows not only economically, socially but healthwise too.

The first step that it can take is by imposing tax on the soda and sugary drinks available in the market. This will help in two ways to the government. Firstly they will get revenue in form of tax and secondly when the tax is imposed the product becomes expensive and the citizens will stay away from buying these expensive stuff and ultimately this will lead to non consumption of these unhealthy drinks and the health can be saved.

Of course this extra revenue collected can be used in different ways by the government, but the main purpose is to solve the public health issues first. Therefore, this revenue can be diverted towards public health domain. If the problems in this sector are solved to certain extent, citizens will feel secure and trust will be developed in the government. Thus, the people's health will be made better, trust will be there in the government, feeling of security will develop, consumers will be happy and happy citizens will lead to more productive output and all this in turn will place the country on a higher place economically and development.

Definitely, this will be an initial strategy. Once the health starts becoming better and people start understanding its benefits slowly the revenue can be used to another important issued too. Also the tax can be reduced in future.
