Answer- Performance enhancing drugs are those drugs which are consumed to improve any kind of physical activity or performance in human beings. These drugs are also used in sports by players. One example is doping in sports. There are different types of performance enhancing drugs which include anabolic steroids, stimulants, human growth hormones etc.
Athletes are generally get shamed for using performance enhancing drugs. Most of the people do not favour to use drugs in sports because it gives an unfair benefit to athletes. There are certain health risks also which come along with the use of performance enhancing drugs. These drugs may be helpful for short time but their side effects lead to depression, liver, kidney or heart failure. Whereas, some people believe that using drugs in sports is not unfair advantage. Non harmful performance enhancing drugs should be allowed in sports because if the high end training equipments are being used today than why not the drugs. These drugs have the same effects on athletes as the new technology.
The use of these drugs make the game more exciting and also make a player more stronger and faster in his performance. Performance enhancing drugs should not be banned by the government because a player knows well how to use them. The use of non harmful performance enhancing drugs should be legal becuase people would stop purchasing these drugs illegally and would not be a part of criminal acts. These drugs just help an athlete to improve his performance or body but do not guarantee that a person will win the game. If an athlete does not have the skills and proper training, these drugs will not help him.
So, the performance enhancing drugs which do not create any harm for the body should not be banned and the athletes should have the right to choose whether they want to use these drugs or not for improving their performance.
