Perception can be defined as a process of seeing or hearing, interpreting, selecting and finally organizing sensory information. The collections of data are done from sense organ and the interpretation made from the brain.
Yes there could be problem in the workplace with people with different perception due to below reason:
1. Right from the selection stage perception comes in to picture wherein the interviewer starts perceiving things about the job applicant. When the perception is done right it adds value to the organization but when the interviewer perceives wrongly and hires a wrong candidate it would be an issue to the organization.
2. Second would be due to stereotyping, when an employee does not get promoted due to his cultural or religious background reason being due to the perception of the employer then there raises an issue.
3. Also when the team subjectively judge each other due to perception and when these judgments are wrong there would always be a team conflict.
4. Likewise when the individual perceives their job negatively it would have major impacts on productivity.
