2. Ageing is a natural process which basically has association with the telomerase activity of the cell accompanied by the mitotic division of the cells. In short, the process is not able to compensate for the loss of previosly formed cells, the body tends to change in all possible ways and not able to retain the properties prevalent previously. In simpler terms, the body gets older. In this case, there is definitely an impact on the taste buds of the mouth which deals with the phenomena of taste. Their number goes on decreasing as an individual ages and this continues along with changes associated with the brain functioning and co-ordination. In short, this process is natural in such cases.
3. In case of trauma after an injury, the condition is totally different. The ability to taste is basically lost due to the impacts the trauma had on the sense of smell.
