2. (a) Discuss why it would be difficult - if not impossible - to eradicate the rabies virus. (b) Explain why post-exposure rabies vaccination is able to prevent rabies.
2.(a)The main source of the rabies virus is dog's biting. Now biting of the dog injects the virus into your body. As we know, a virus is only be treated by using an anti-virus.
Now, the difficulty with the rabies virus is that it can hide from the anti-virus and can avoid the immune system. It can even entered to the brain to protect itself making it more difficult to treat.
(b) Post-exposure rabies vaccination is able to prevent rabies-
i - It stop the development of the rabies inside the body.
ii - Infected people or animal can't transmit to the other person.
iii - It provides a passive immune system which protect us from the virus.
