Forensic science it is the study that help in analysis of the crime from the blood samples , footprints ,finger prints ,hair follicles etc obtained from the spot where crime has taken place .

Here DNA extraction is carried out from the blood samples or any tissue or hair follicles .

PCR is a polymerase chain reaction,from single dna millions of dna copies are obtained .this is because very less sample is obtained but to obtain, DNA fingerprinting multiple copies of DNA is required .

This obtained DNA is subject to gel electrophoresis and DNA fingerprint are obtained so it's easy to compare the fingerprint of the suspect and obtained proof . Electrophoresis is also used seperate the proteins and RNA also .

Dna extraction,pcr and electrophoresis are used to obtain the dna fingerprints of the sample obtained from the spot where crime has taken place and the results are submitted to the court and investigation is carried out to punish the criminal .
