DIFFERENTIATION

CREEP >>>> IT IS PERMANENT FAILURE BY CONSTANT LOADING OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. AFTER WHICH OBJECT NOT ABLE TO REGAIN ITS ORIGINAL SHAPE AND SIZE.

SHRINKAGE >>>>>> IT IS A EFFECT DUE TO LOSS OF MOISTURE IN CONCRETE. THE OBJECT SIZE REDUCES OR WE SAY CONTRACT. OR WE SAY REDUCTION IN VOLUME.

FACTORS WHICH ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CREEP AND SHRINKAGE.

FOR SHRINKAGE ::::: It is loss of moisture in concrete by which it reduces its size. It is due to less curing of concrete , worst placing of concrete , exposed directly to sun , due to presence of more alkali which reacts with silica content in cement and leads to formation of gel which also leads to shrinkage this effect is called alkali silica reaction in short ASR.

More ever , It also depend upon water - cement ration which W/C , if cement is high then it leads to more lubrication by which mixture become harsh.

and there are many other factors also.

CREEP ::::::::: IT IS CHANGE IN SHAPE AND SIZE DUE EXTERNAL LIVE LOAD , SO IT DEPENDS ON EXTERNAL LOAD VALUE AS WELL WE KNOW THAT EVERY OBJECT HAVE ITS YOUNG MODULAS , SO THIS IS ALSO A FACTOR.

IN BREIF CREEP IS MAINLY DEPEND ON ITS OWN PROPERTY IT DOSENT DEPEND ON ATOMOSPHERIC CONDITION.

BUT EXTERNAL PLAYS A VITAL ROLE ALSO.

If moisture is more than water content is more so W/C is more hence better Workability will come , then shrinkage is less comparitively.

In CREEP , If moisture is more than particle deform easily because it require less force to change its shape.

it become more elastic.

Earth, whose load factor 0.80 is and whose shrinkage factor is 0.90 is being placed as fill. The construction schedule requires that fill material needs to be placed at a minimum rate of 600 LCY/hr. (Hint: you need to turn the LCY requirement into a CCY requirement. This is required as the production for a compactor is based on CCY.) The thickness of the compacted layers is 5.5”. A compactor with a roller drum width of 7’ is used to...

When choosing an item from a group, researchers have shown that an important factor influencing choice is the item's location. This occurs in varied situations such as shelf positions when shopping, filling out a questionnaire, and even when choosing a preferred candidate during a presidential debate. In this experiment, five identical pairs of white socks were displayed by attaching them vertically to a blue background that was then mounted on an easel for viewing. One hundred participants from the University...
