The nurse in the ED has been notified that a school bus carrying a high school softball team has been involved in a head-on collision with a speeding car. There are multiple injuries and a possible death. A small community hospital was notified of the accident and told to expect 30 victims. Should the small local emergency department initiate their disaster plan? Why or why not? There are multiple players with moderate to severe injuries. Three ambulances are at the scene. Discuss what factors should be discussed in the decision to send the injured to the local community hospital and other emergency departments in the area. The driver of the speeding car was pronounced dead at the scene. Several of the softball team members saw the driver dismembered as the car hit the bus and were unable to move from the scene until someone pulled them away. What actions should be taken to help these victims and other people involved with the accident to cope?
• small local emergency department should start their roster plan cause it can be helpful in the form of first aid to the victims right there and 30 victims are not the small numbers. Promptness of the care leads to better result 40 victims who are severely injured. A disaster plan includes all the dimensions regarding emergency care are preventing psychological trauma too.

Establishing a good relationship for the sharing of ideas and thoughts can work for ventilation of emotions. Involving victims close ones to help him get out of this scene.
