Maslow’s need Hierarchy states that people keep moving in their lives with different needs in different stages and if any need is not met satisfactorily, the person will have more difficulty in moving to the next need. Earlier theories were focusing on a particular time period where the need arises and once the need is successfully addressed, the stress or motivation decreases of become static. Humanistic theory, proposes the continuity of one need from the other needs. It’s a lifelong process and it occurs almost every day.
