Answer 1. The children with nutrition deficiency or those who don't eat properly suffers from loss of energy and much lesser learning capacities than others. Their cognitive skills in which children learn, focus and think, are affected by their low energy levels along with their academic performances. Their thinking abilities are suffered because they tend to remain defocused. The nutrition covering maximum requirements of body needs as in vitamins, minerals, etc will help them in regaining their strength of body as well as of their minds.
Answer 2. One of the primary reason for fatal ingestion is swallowing of medicines by children. They get suffocated with the pills which sometimes lead to fatality. This is now being changed to syrups or other fluid medicines which are comparetively easy for children to engulf.
Children or the infants remain in their homes most of the time and their homes sometimes become dangerous spots because children who are not under survilience, engulf something harmful, that either choke their food pipe or wind pipe. One of the risky item that is mostly seen inside the esophagus or stomach of child after testing, is the button battery. It is a potential health hazard for children resulting in formations of ulcers, or deaths. Their sizes are very small that they can be easily swallowed but as they enter the body, their contents start reacting with the inner walls of esophagus or stomach wall linings. Besides their choking, their reactions lead to tha fatal ends.
Answer 3. Ideally the weight of a 3 year old girl child should be approximately 14 kgs and Sally's weight is 13 kg. So, it is almost normal. And ideally the height of a 3 year girl child should be 37.0" (94 cm) and Sally's height is 90 cm,, so it is also normal or appropriate with her age.
Answer 4. The nurse should advice Sally's mother that to treat with her temper tantrums, she must provide her with positive attention always. She should distract Sally when she is showing tantrums by making her busy with learning new skills and let her play out with other children more to make Sally self confident.
Answer 5. The goal of discipline for a preschoolar should be teaching them discipline in a firm, responsible, fair and in consistent way. This will bring self conscienceness with an internal sense of responsibility and control along with moral values.
