a) What is the role of studies of other organisms in understanding the organization and development of the nervous system?
b) What is the advantage for a species of developmental, individual variation?
Ans a) The role of studying other organisms in understanding the organization and development of the nervous helps in establishing the co-ordination that is required for the functioning of the nervous system. By studying other organisms we can understand the stages of development of the nervous system and how it works in co-ordination to send the signals. It helps in getting better insight and understanding about how the nerve cells help with the direct brain behavior. It helps in understanding the signaling process how the signals are passed on from one target to another. Nervous system helps in relaying the signals and by studying the role of its in the nervous system, there is better understanding of the how everything is coordinated.
Ans b) The advantage for a species for developmental, individual variation as it helps in better cognition and development of better evolution. Individual variation is study of how some individuals learn a particular thing better as compared to others. It is due the cognition and inheritance of an individual that some species have the advantage of the individual variation.
