Food GMP(Good manufacturing practise)are essential components required to ensure quality and safe food products in the market eg:beverages ,food items etc .
WHO (world health organization) defines food GMP as industry specific fundamental operational requirements neccesary to enable a food business to produce safe food .They are about methods ,equipments,facilities and controls for producing safe and wholesome food.
Good GMP include -
◆Pesticide and fertiliser control during growing the food product .
◆Harvesting should be done in a clean &hygeinic space free from any pathogenic growth .
◆The person carrying out all the procedures of food products handling to dispatching should follow all precautionary measures of personal hygiene and wear gloves and masks to ensure safety .
◆Food production premises should be located in a pollution & environmental hazards(chemicals ) free zone .
◆Quality check should be done regularly for the substance by clinical trials for the chemicals being brought into use to eliminate risk of any adverse reaction .
