suggest some reasons for so much redundancy of action and so many interacting aspects of immune response

Solutions

Expert Solution

Redundancy is the ability to get expressed more than once. The immune system is the system of our body that protects us from any form of antigen that can cause disease or harm our body. The antigen is of various types; they may be living cells like bacteria or they may be non-living like proteins. Whatever the form of antigen is the immune system counters it in ways which are required for the particular type of antigen. The immune system's mechanism of functioning is of three types; classical, lectin and alternate and these three mechanisms work together to provide protection to our body. In this way a single immune system performs the task of protecting the body from different types of antigen.
