Phased project management approach
This approach involves breaking down the project into different phases or steps. Planning and controlling helps us to assess if there's is any mistake in the project and to overcome the problem or mistake. This helps to know where they have actually gone wrong and not to repeat the same mistake in the future. They will know how to tackle with those mistakes in future.
They key factors that determine the success of the approach are
* Initiation
Initiation determines the success of the project, as the objectives, goals, scope of the project and the participants involved are clearly defined.
* Planning
This involves creating a roadmap for the project regarding the deliverables, how the success of the project will be measured etc. It involves identifying the required resources and developing the budget.
* Execution
This factors involves carrying out the work in an organised way. The manager assigns the task to the team and assigns them the responsibility of the specific task to be completed.
* Controlling
It is the process of monitoring the team whether they are performing the task assigned to them as required. If they are not performing as required then steps should be taken to rectify where they are going wrong so that work can be carried out as planned.
