Two substantive assessment methods that could be used by the organisation to finalise the internal candidates effectively are :
1. Seniority and Experience: The first assessment method is to check the seniority and the experience of the internal employee in the organisation to offer him/her the place and position of the director. As being a director is a position requiring the indepth knowledge, widom and decision making abilities in one's self, the candidate would be required to perform the assessment where the seniority level of the candidate would be evaluated and also the level of experience being shared in the same organisation. You cannot appoint a newly joined employee as the director because the person lacks the experience and also having no knowledge about how the company works. Thus, the level of seniority and knowledge would help in determining and finalising the effective director for the company.
2. Review Boards: Another method is the Review Boards analysis. The effective reviews and feedbacks are being asked from everyone concerned with the same position to ensure the right candidate is selected for the same position. The relevant stakeholders, shareholders, the existing board of directors, the executives are being asked to give a review regarding who would be considered as a better director and why so. Judging and having the same analysis would help the company to effectively choose the right candidate for the position.
