Qualitative, Quantitative and mixed designs are the designs available.There will be various basis for selection of a research design for a study.The main basis are:

1)Problem to be solved:The problem to be solved and its scope,the available resources etc are necessary to evaluate the outcome of all the variable which are taken into account while selecting a research design.

2)Personal Experience:Here the personal experience of researcher should also be considered while selecting a research design as whether a particular design will be sufficient to solve the problem or sometimes even in certain research designs the cast may exceed the benefit which can be eliminated when the researcher have certain previous experience.

3)Audience requirement:Sometimes although the research is completed not all audience requirements may be fulfilled or sometimes it may give rise to new doubts also.Those are another factors to be taken into account while selecting a research design.
