1. Infections: Several types of infections linked to mental disorders as they leads to brain or pschiatry dysfunction or impairment, with the causative agent streptococcus bacteria.
2. Genetis or heredity: Several types of mental illness can progress by father or mother to his or her childrens through genes, which transfers illness one generation to another generation. For example; stress, anxiety, etc.
3. Brain trauma: It is also an leading cause of mental illness as it is the result of any brain defects or injuries which indirectly causes mental disorders.
4. Substance abuse: Use of drugs and alcohal also is an essential cause of mental disorders because the things leads to impairments or dysfunctions of the brain.
5. Death or separation of loved one's: It is also an very leading cause of mental disorders as it causes depression, stress, alcohol abuse, anxiety etc.

Prevention and therapeutic measures:
1. Medical treatment: It includes use of several types of drugs or medications in order to treat mental disorders like; antipsychotic drugs, antiepileptic drus, antidepressants, mood stabilizers, antianxiety drugs, etc.
2. Therapies: There are also some therapies used to treat mental illness like; electro convulsive therapy, group therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy, play therapy, dance therapy, etc.
3. Preventive measures: a. Providing psychological support in the situation of depression, anxiety, stress etc due to death of any loved one or separation.
b. Providing support at the time of financial loss ir examination failure or love failure.
c. Provide psychological during terminal illnesses.
d. Allow persons to ventilate their feelings in order to be relax and calm.
e. Consult to doctor or physicians in any leading problem.
Current or future researches:
1. Mental disorders are the broad part of medical problems which has a wide criteria for researches as now a days peoples have more mental stress related to their job, carrier, love, education, family, money, etc and most of them don't know how to tackle with mental problems.
2. Here research works by identifying the population at risk for mental problems, leading current causes of mental disorders, etc.
