The cultivation and exportation of coffee transformed Colombia because more than half a million farmers are busy in growing and providing premium quality coffee beans to the world. The coffee is being grown at around 2.2 million acres of Colombian highlands. The soil and atmosphere of Colombia is very conducive for cultivation of high quality of coffee as having rich volcanic soil with predominant shades. The productivity of the coffee in Colombia constitutes 16% of the national agricultural GDP. The country is exporting green coffee beans to different countries of the world and 37% of total exports to USA. The Colombian coffee is graded at very high level in the world. The Coffee can be cultivated at an altitudes of upto 6400 feet which provided favourable climate for superior beans. Thus, the coffee as a agriculture product and exporting product has changed to face of the Colombia on economic and fame level.
