2. Describe how energy contained in coal is transformed into electric energy, how it gets to your home, and then how it is converted into energy in the forms that you need. Be as detailed in each stage as you can.

First stage: In first stage they burn the coal to convert the water in steam form ,this steam is require to rotate the turbine ,when turbine rotate with the help of hot energetic steam as this turbine connect with high power generator that generator convert turbines mechanical energy into electrical energy and this Electrical energy . This is the generation process.

Second stage: Now after generating the electrical energy we have to distribute it to the companies , houses . For it we have to give to this energy to the power transformer .This power transformer or step up transformer step up the voltage and step down the current ss that less amount of copper losses occur while transferring the power from generating station to substation . At substation with the help of feeder power distributed to the distribution transformer . At this time in distribution transformer voltage gets steup down and current gets step up . And this power provide to the house . In house all appliances are connected in parallel so voltage should be constant and current vary...
