When I was taking care in medicine ward,an elderly male with admitted to medicine ward due to a recent episode of stroke .He was not ready to give proper history and also not cooperative during clinical examination and hesitating to take medications. At that time I forced to take medications as it is essential for his medical condition to get better and later made him feel as giving more care and time for him thus created a good interrelationship between us.

Later I found it was due to his mental status that he is depressed as his family was not ready to take care of him.

So I understood as a medical practitioner we have to be more aware of a patient's condition and be ready to take more care of them. Its mainly due to their difficulties at that time they are not cooperative with us.

For maintaining a proper professional, caring and therapeutic relationship there should develop mutual trust, respect ,care and should be able to use our knowledge and skill to take measures according to the patient's physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
