Imagine you and ten of your family members are in the kitchen cooking a massive feast for thirty people. It is pure chaos in the kitchen because nobody is taking charge to ensure the needed dishes get done in a timely manner.

Now switch gears and imagine you are on a multidisciplinary team at your local clinic focusing on increasing local youth access to fresh fruits and vegetables. This group does not have a leader.

In your initial post, discuss whether or not it is possible to accomplish what is needed without a leader? Why or why not?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Leader is a person who is very essential in all groups and leadership is a quality to maintain a group without any chaos. In every groups, without a leader no group can survive smoothly and is difficult to manage a large number of people without a perfect plan.

If we consider the imagination,we may understand how a leader lead all other members in a perfect way.Mostly in a family, mother will be the leader in the kitchen and she lead all other members everything in the perfect way and completes in the perfect time. The mother will distribute each and every work to all members according to their capability and decrease the load of work and complete the mission within the limits.

Similarly, in a multidisciplinary team of a clinic working for any mission needs a leader to guide all the group members in the right way.Even for the mission focusing on increasing local youth access to fresh fruits and vegetables, needs a leader to set a goal, communication, distribution of labor and to complete the mission within the time period in a perfect plan.If there is no leader in the group, it may create chaos and everything in the group will be a mess without a proper plan.So a leader is very important and inevitable person in a group.
