If a patient requires a referral to see a specialist, what would be the steps necessary to see the specialist and why would a plan want this as part of the managed care system plan?

Refferal is done when the patient needs special care . That may be the condition which needs to be treated by specialized doctor.

* When there is insufficient equipments or specialogy physcians are available patients are ordered to be reffer.

* This patients need to consult particular specialized physicians .

Example if the patient is having heart problems they need to visit cardiologist.

* Health care management is planned to treat according to their specialization to provide better care to the individual's.

* Specific department people have more knowledge regarding their department and they can provide good care in their department.

* Referral is done when there are no sufficient facilities are available to treat the condition and by referring the patient higher hospitals or specialized doctors are necessary to treat the patient in emergency conditions to save life's.

* After referring the patient to the hospital, physician notices past history , reason for referral ,previous treatment and provides further treatment.

Health care management system planned for referral to provide better and quality care to the people in any situations.
