Power foods is a term given to foods which are very nutritious and contribute to our well being by keeping our heart healthy , protecting from chronic diseases and give more energy .
One of the power food that interest me is Greek yogurt which is different from regular yoghurt because it provides high protein and have probiotics which keep our stomach healthy, also less sodium which is good for heart and less sodium diet is good for patient with Hypertension and provides potassium which can replace sodium . Good source of calcium whoch is important for strong teeth and bones , if one need less carbs but more energy then it is best as greek yogurt has protein twice of regular yogurt. It also has less lactose which is good for person who doesn't have good lactose tolerance but can handle minimal lactose and hence work as good diary product in replacement of other diary product. Greek yogurt can be taken without any thing and can be used in place of cream
Though it has many benefits ,i wouldn't add it in my diet because Greek yogurt formation need gelatin formed by bones and bugs as gelatin formed by boiling animal's skin tendon , ligament and bones. Also acids are produced as co product in formation of Greek yogurt which is very dangerous for nature also for workers dealing with it . Thus affecting health of workers, environment and animals
That's why i wouldn't add it in my diet as a little step to safe environment and animals and avoiding such products which are harming them
