Some women experience common early pregnancy symptoms like tender breasts, nausea, fatigue, sensitivity to smell or bloating within days after conception or about a week and a half before your period is scheduled to arrive.
The following are the signs of pregnancy:
1. Missed period: If you are in your childbearing years and a week or more has passed without the start of an expected menstrual cycle, you might be pregnant.
2. Tender, swollen breasts.
3. Nausea with or without vomiting.
4. Fatigue.
5. Increased urination.
Presumptive signs or subjective signs of pregnancy refers to the signs and symptoms that the mother can perceive that resemble pregnancy signs and symptoms. They often allude to a possible pregnancy but should be further investigated as they could have many causes.
Presumptive signs of pregnancy- possibility of pregnancy.
Amenorrhea (no period) Nausea- with or without vomiting.
Breast enlargement and tenderness
Fatigue.
Poor sleep.
Probable signs of pregnancy are those signs commonly noted by the physician upon examination of the patient. Thses signs include uterine changes, abdominal changes, cervical changes, basal body temperature, positive pregnancy test by physician, and fetal palpation.
Probable signs of pregnancy- most likelihood of indicating pregnancy.
Increased frequency of urination.
Soft cervix.
Abdominal bloating/enlargement.
Mild uterine cramping/discomfort without bleeding.
Positive signs of pregnancy include identification of fetal heartbeat, maternal perception of fetal movement, and ultrasonographic demonstration of pregnancy. The demonstration of a fetal heartbeat by auscultation, Doppler technology. Or sonography suffice as a positive sign of pregnancy.
