Normal distribution:

Use 1: Usually the grading in schools are done basis normal distribution. The scores in a subject are usually normally distributed. The normal distribution is therefore, used to model the grades of a students in a subject.

Use 2: Cutoff of application to a college is also modelled on normal distribution. Suppose a collage wants to estimate the cutoff score they want to put up to remove SAT scores beneath a certain percentage, the normal distribution is fool proof method to do so.

Uniform distribution:

Use 1: A good example of a uniform distribution (continious) is an idealized random number generator. There is an equal chance of every number to occur.

Use 2: Outcome of roll of a dice is also a uniform distribution, hence outcomes of an event related to rolling a dice can be modelled using uniform distribution. That' because each outcome has an equal probability to happen.
